The linguists are selected based on the following criteria:

  • Higher education background or translating expertise (translation techniques, language studies) – equivalent of 5 years
  • Writing skills in the speaker’s native language
  • Degree in a 2nd language
  • Technical specialization (experience or degree)
  • Experience (in years) in translation, interpreting and management of multilingual projects
  • Recommendations and referrals or a thorough test
  • Skills in the latest translation tools

Material resources

Our team and partners use equipment and tools developed for the translation industry, with a wide range of solutions (Windows and Mac-compatible standard IT applications, image processing, encoding, antivirus software, CAT tools…).

Our facilities are regularly being updated to ensure compatibility with customer files.

The interpreting budget is carefully calculated to avoid any extra costs. So, we choose interpreters who living locally, and use just the right level of equipment that suits your needs.



Translation costs are optimized thanks to the use of CAT tools, which identifies repetitions within one or several files, so a discount may be applied. We use, and if necessary, create terminology databases or translation memories for your project to retrieve existing translations.

Business tourism


Travel that we organize is tailored to each customer’s needs. We set the price according to the number of participants and the needs of the event. We select our partners for their professionalism, and endeavour to offer special rates.

Company background

Jecy was created in 1986 by 3 professional translators who graduated from a Paris Interpreting and Translation School. The company’s office is in Sophia Antipolis, the number-one science park in France and Europe. The company has been specialized, since it was founded, in the translation of documents, but quickly built up an interpreting service. Since then, Jecy has been taking part in some of the most important events on the Côte d’Azur.

From 2005 to 2007, Jecy’s management team worked on the establishment of the EN 15038 translation standard under the aegis of the CEN (European Committee of Standardization).

Business partnerships have been created with various companies and framework agreements with major clients (Fondation Sophia Antipolis, VBA network, PLUG IN…).

In 2017, the company started to offer services in the business tourism sector (MICE – Meetings, Incentive, Conferencing, Exhibitions). Jecy can now take on the organization of professional events and business trips.
